The Jeep TJ is a rough, tough, everyday type of SUV. It's perfect for off-road use and can take a beating. But it's not bulletproof and the cabin is its underbelly. So, if you plan to leave it somewhere in the open air for a long period of time, we highly recommend looking for the best TJ Cabin Cover that will keep the water out for proper protection. Wind, rain, sun, dirt: a suitable tarpaulin can perfectly protect your vehicle from everything.
For this post we have selected three beautiful covers that come with straps that fully protect doors and windows and are very easy to use. Bestop, Smittybilt, and Rugged Ridge are among the leading suppliers of third-party Jeep equipment. So without further ado, let's take a look at what these companies have to offer. While they're mostly the same, we've yet to talk about the strengths, drawbacks, pricing, and more.

Reviews of the Best Waterproof Cover for Jeep Wrangler TJ
1. Bestop 8103709 All-Weather Trail Cover
This cover has everything your Jeep could need in inclement weather. It is 100% waterproof and is made of high quality flexible fabric. Rain, wind, destructive ultraviolet radiation: with the Bestop cover, the vehicle is well protected. The package includes adjustable nylon straps. They do an excellent job of providing a snug fit, which is very important for effective protection in real world conditions.
Add a stuff sack for storage and you get a bang for the buck. Speaking of money, Bestop's deck is significantly more expensive than most of its competitors (including those on today's list). However, the price is reasonable as it is a leading product that will serve you for many years. It is also very easy to use and you can "install" the cover in minutes without help.

Ask a question
If affordability is your top priority, Bestop insurance coverage may not be exactly what you need. This is not a particularly cheap product, but it justifies the high price with quality fabric, great (nylon) straps, and a stuff sack included. TJ riders looking for something durable, reliable, and easy to use will probably like what the company has to offer.
2. Smittybilt 1061 Waterproof Gray Cabin Cover
Next up we have a waterproof case from Smittybilt, another big name in the business. One of the things we liked best during our review was how well it fits the Jeep. Even when a storm hits, the cover stays in the cabin. Installation is also very simple and straightforward - no instructions or trial and error are required to get the fabric over your Jeep TJ.
And one more thing: It doesn't really matter if the vehicle comes with doors or not, you always get a tight fit. There is one big downside though: this cover collects water on the vehicle. And if you don't vacuum it quickly, the inside could get wet. Durability isn't a big issue here, but pool water is.

Ask a question
Easy installation, a snug fit, and quality straps are reason enough to consider what Smittybilt has in store for you. On the other hand, you have to constantly "fight" with rainwater in the cabin. For some people, this is a big turnoff; others don't mind scooping up a little water from time to time. So ultimately it's up to you to decide if this is a minor inconvenience or a major issue.
3. Rugged Ridge Deluxe Cabin Cover 13321.02
Last but not least, let's take a quick look at the Rugged Ridge option. He has a few trump cards up his sleeve. First of all, this is a budget product and you can afford it even if you are on a tight budget. Second, the company backs it up with a five-year warranty. Add a three-layer protection system and stretch fabric for easy installation and you're a winner.
However, things are not as "bright and beautiful" as we would like. Here's why: It's a cheap case, but it lags behind the competition when it comes to durability. Several homeowners report that the deck starts to leak after two to three months, and there's nothing you can do about it except some DIY fixes. If you don't want to leave your Jeep TJ out in the sun and too much rain, it could still be a good buy.

Affordability and ease of use are Rugged Ridge's biggest selling points. Unfortunately, due to the cheap materials used for this cover, it is not particularly durable.

Best Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Trail Tires (Updated Jan 2023)
The Wrangler Unlimited is one of the best off-road vehicles for conquering the terrain. It is not afraid of snow, mud, rain or dirt and has that "manly" look that most cyclists like. However, if you leave it outside unprotected, chances are you'll end up with a rusty top, a leaky interior, or worse. So let's take a look at the best Jeep Trail covers for Wrangler Unlimited that the market has to offer.
Best Jeep Wrangler JKU Rain Cover Review
1. Bestop 8104109 All Weather Trail Cover para Jeep Wrangler JKU
This company is one of the leading suppliers of aftermarket Jeep parts, and their all-weather trail cover is a prime example. This gives you complete coverage of the door. By protecting not only the windows but also the doors, it ensures a 100% dry interior. The nylon straps, in turn, are highly adjustable and very easy to use. Thanks to the hermetic and secure closure, the cover does not "fly away" even in the most adverse weather conditions.
The quality of the material is also worth your attention. The waterproof fabric offers protection from the sun, rain, snow, dirt, wind and everything in between. By the way, the cover comes in a stuff bag and can be stored in the garage when not in use. The bad news is that you cannot use this Bestop cover if you have a hard or soft top installed. But that's pretty much the only notable drawback.

Full door/window coverage and incredible quality materials - that's what you get with this all-weather trail cover for the Jeep Wrangler. The adjustable nylon straps, extra bag, and reasonable price point are another reason to consider it above the competition. Unfortunately, it doesn't go well with the covers (soft or hard) and you have to remove them to use the case.
2. RAMPAGE PRODUCTS 1263 Jeep JKU Breathable Cabin Cover
If you live in a place like Arizona where the sun "beats down" very hard, this cabin cover could be a good investment. This is because it is one of the best options in terms of protection from the sun's rays. Also, it is extremely reliable and can keep rain, snow and wind away from your jeep. I also have to mention that Rampage used a unique four-layer material for this cover to make it breathable.
This keeps moisture out rather than locking it in. The company backs it up with a one-year limited warranty, which is longer than most competitors offer. My only complaint is the size of these Jeep JK Trail covers. While it fits nicely, I wish it was a bit longer so I don't have to stretch it to the limit.

If you're not afraid of stretching, the Rampage case might be a good buy for you. Strong UV (sun) protection and impressive moisture-wicking design are good reasons to think about it. Add in a one-year warranty and easy installation and you'll see why it's so popular these days.
3. Smittybilt 1068 Waterproof Cabin Cover
Looking for durability and ease of use at a reasonable price? Smittybilt may have just what you need. This waterproof canopy cover is indeed very reliable and durable. Also, you won't have any problem "installing" it. There's a catch, though: The cover doesn't always fit aftermarket side mirrors. Be sure to check this before committing.
On the plus side, it's compatible with a long list of Jeep models (not just Wrangler Unlimited) thanks to Smittybilt's universal design pattern. Plus, the 1068 cover fits snugly over your roll bars and windshield, and you can be sure it won't loosen over time.

Ask a question
This waterproof cover is durable, stays in place and is fully compatible with dozens of Jeep vehicles (models). It can be used as a night shelter and as a normal "roof" over your four-wheeled friend. The only drawback: it doesn't get along very well with the side mirrors.
